Events Calendar

There are events each week predominantly at the Village Hall and these are detailed on the events calendar page.

Clubs and Organisations

Woodmancote W.I. meets at the new Village Hall on the third Thursday of each month at 7.30pm. We are a very active group with close to 80 members. You are very welcome to come along as a visitor to see what we have to offer. There are many activities for all ages with speakers, outings and other events that members are involved in. W.I. is a very pleasant way to get involved with village life particularly if you are new to the area. If you want to know more please telephone our Secretary on 01242-673512.

The Woodmancote Society exists to foster a sense of community in the village, to welcome new comers, to support projects which benefit Woodmancote and its residents and to organise social events in pursuit of these aims. Normally an event is held each month and these include skittles, barbeques, wine and cheese evenings, luncheons, quizzes, treasure trails and wine tasting. Trips to the theatre are also arranged. Woodmancote Cricket Club are a friendly, established, competitive and social club with three senior Saturday teams and a thriving junior section.

Woodmancote local pre-school group is held at theVillage Hall Monday to Friday except for school holidays and is for ages 2-5 yrs. For more information contact 07593-254049 or see the website.

Woodmancote Probus Club meetings start with refreshments of tea or coffee and biscuits, providing the opportunity for social intercourse. At 10.30, the meeting proper begins. This usually takes the form of a talk or presentation, sometimes illustrated, by a visiting speaker. In addition, outings to local places of interest are arranged and we always have a Christmas lunch together, when we invite wives and partners. Woodmancote Short Mat Bowling Club plays at Village Hall every Tuesday 1.15 - 3.30 pm with a break for tea or coffee at 2.30 pm. Anyone interested in joining this friendly social group should contact John Yarrow, on 01242-675777 or Malcolm Hudson, Secretary, on 01242-674306.

May Day in Woodmancote is held annually on the first Monday in May.
